David Leo
Youth Director
Youth Ministry/Faith FM Presenter
Originally form Auckland, New Zealand, David moved to Brisbane, Australia, in his late teens. This move to Australia had David paying attention to his life and started turning the Bible and the Church community for guidance in his life. From previously living as a carefree and fun teenager in Auckland, David started volunteering in church roles. Through teaching in church, he was learning about Jesus, and from reading the Desire of Ages, David began to desire a relationship with Jesus Christ. David has held many different positions, from Chaplaincy at the schools to pastoring local churches. He is now the Youth Director for Tasmania and a regular presenter for Tassie Encounters on Faith FM Radio. In his position as Youth Director, David is hoping to inspire the youth to have a saving relationship with Jesus to the point where they can't help but share with their family and friends. David is married to Sokha and they have three awesome kids. He also thinks Tasmania is the most beautiful gem in Australia. In his spare time, David likes to read, play sport, and go walking in the amazing parks you can find in Tasmania. His favourite Bible text is Romans 5:3-5 (NLT) which says 'We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.'
