Jason Cook
Media Communications Co-ordinator
Host of Tassie Encounters at Faith FM
Jason was first involved in radio when he volunteered for a Christian radio station back in 1987. During that time Jason assisted the electrical engineer in various technical aspects of radio transmission and program production. He then went on to study electronic engineering at university and also pursued some university courses in music production and composition. Fast forward to 2020, when Jason joined the Tasmanian Conference to establish a daily live radio program and oversee the technical Faith FM radio network in Tasmania. He continues to host some daily programs alongside Carmelina, and also produces live streams, in addition to video and audio content for various conference programs. Jason is passionate about one on one and group bible study and serves in various capacities at his local church, and enjoys audio production and recording in his spare time. His favourite bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-10 (NLT): "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
