Stewardship (Giving)

When we honour God with our wealth, He blesses us in return. As His stewards in His church, it is important to recognise that the wealth we receive is not our own – giving tithes and offering is one way to do that.
Proverbs 3:9-10 (NIV) says 'Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine.’
It is also fundamental to remember why we give. God does not want us to give out of obligation, but out of love and sound mind. We give because of the blessings we receive.

‘Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’

Here are a few ways you can do that today. Traditionally tithes and offering have been collected during our church services. However, we now have new ways to give if we can’t use the offering basket.

The eGiving Website and the eGiving app allow you to set the amount you would like to give for offering each week. You can also set the frequency for how often you would like to give and change the set amount at any time.
