Tween Camp 2021
Tween Camp this year was an absolute blast as 54 kids from all over Tassie came together to have fun and learn about Jesus through the theme: “YOU are an Artist: God’s Masterpiece (Isaiah 64:8)”
Activities through the week included a chalk fight, tie-dying, rock painting, crate stack, ball games, water-biscuiting, zip-lining, team challenges, noodle-ball, kayaking, paint-twister, cake decoration, and not to mention an amazing time on Spring Beach youth camp’s amazing new indoor rock climbing wall!
To-die-for food was provided by Katy Matteo, Hannah Rabe and Rochelle Gordon. All of the volunteer staff put in 110% in connecting with, and lifting up the kids to point them to Christ.
Worships each night were truly touching, with Miss Kaitlin Gordon leading out, her team producing inspiring music, all culminating in a wonderful church service on the beautiful Stapleton Beach on Sabbath morning. We were so happy that Mrs Jeanine Sandy, chaplain at Darling Downs Christian School in South Queensland, was able to join in for the week to share the gospel, inviting the kids to choose to follow Jesus for themselves. In a time of invitation, it was so wonderful to see every single child in attendance come forward in an altar call to write their names on a canvas, indicating they wanted Jesus as their Artist!
